In recent years, I have been working in earnest to finding ways to be able to deescalate from points where I become overwhelmed, overstimulated, or just be able to wind down from a busy day. Through that I am working to find the Zen that I need to find and be able to understand its power while understanding that it is perfectly acceptable to make this a necessity when there  is a need to do so.

This has been the case for the past several years, especially when just being able to do what was necessary to get to and from where I needed to go in many cases was a constant stressor in my everyday life. There was nothing I could do to change the situation and as such when there was factors that made the situation that I had to endure unpleasant before it resulted in being more manageable as it is today, I had to realize that I needed to find the Zen that I needed to find to be able to transition with ease in a world that was so volatile that nearly broke me.

Without a doubt I am doing much better because of a series of events that has happened over the past two years to make thing more manageable. Part of it was my responsibility but in their own way they had to happen the way they did for everyone to be satisfied and also there were events that was out of my personal control that necessitated things to happen that also strengthened the ability of many things such as independence and as of lately the necessity of always caring for my mental health in order to understand that life is often uncertain and can throw things in our life that necessitate us to be flexible and understanding with things that we cannot control.

Nonetheless, it is finding that Zen in your life that at those times you have to unwind and cope with things that can be challenging that can make all the difference you need to be able to get your mind at ease and ready to conquer the next thing that is necessary for you to navigate in this thing we call life.

Granted it wasn’t easy for many years to accept that or understand the need to gain more patience for instance when things don’t happen as we need them to, however as they became a necessity at being able to understanding the end result and be able to do what is necessary to be done to have the quality of life that I need and desire, it is working at finding that Zen that works for me and through time it has been matching it with my daily routine that has made it  recipe for success in the life I lead as  an independently living autistic adult.

Through life little by little, day by day and sometimes hour by hour we find our way to where we need to be in our lives as we progress through its enmeshment learning how to ebb and flow in thew way that we need to be able to manage the throws of life.
