Today, I had the opportunity to participate in the Out of the Darkness Walks at our local Penn State Campus.

Suicide has been a part of the discussion this week at a conference I attended this week.

Suicide doesn’t discriminate, it affects all walks of life.

I have witness it affect so many families, including those that have made an attempt.

It is something that has opened my eyes and made me realize how words matter.

I now realize that it is important to never, ever give up.

There is never a shame in reaching out for help.

You are loved. You matter. You are enough.
