It Doesn’t Have To Make Sense To You
It makes sense to me.
Why do I play that song when we get on the turnpike?
When do we get off the turnpike?
Why do I make it so important?
Why do I get frustrated when I can’t play the song when I think I should?
Because I need it to prepare myself.
To get regulated.
In the right mindset.
It’s not only that, but with anything I need to regulate myself.
It may seem unusual, odd, quirky, nonsense.
But as long as I am not hurt and I am safe, what does it matter to you?
What should matter is that I am able to eventually regulate?
And not overstimulated because of the path that got me there.
Life is never fair to an autistic person.
We are often forced to live in a world that is not conducive to our needs.
But we do what we have to do to make life easier for all of us.
So, what we do doesn’t have to make sense to you.
What matters is that we are able to regulate in a world that always has things in our way of being so.
I am learning this more every day.
It Doesn’t Have To Make Sense To You. It makes sense to me.
That is all that should matter.
