There have been many times in my life that I feel that things are unfair to me. It can allow me to think things that are not necessarily true about the situation or not allow myself to understand that there are more reasons to why a decision had to be made that I may seem unfair. In the end, it is rewiring my brain to see past the unfairness of the situation and understand the necessity of living my best life.

According to the world, life isn’t fair. To some extent that is true. The world would be perfect if everything went the way that we had seemed to go. However, the world is very complex, and it can be hard to understand as an autistic person such as myself that there are reasons why things must be a certain way, even if we think they can. There must be a reality to have to understand that there are negatives and positives in a situation and allow myself to realize that I cannot have everything in the world the way that I want it.

It has to mean that I have to let go of my past biases about things as to why I think they are unfair to me and think that I am the one getting the bad hand of situations, allowing me to pass oftentimes negative judgement because my brain allows my anxiety to overtake my state of thinking and catastrophize what is the worst possible scenario that could happen into what seems unfair.

What has been handed to me can also allow me to be consumed deeply into the situation that I can think is unfair and allow myself to become overconsumed with the situation and make the judgment about the unfairness to become deeper than what it needs to be even though there is so much to think about in my life by allowing it to consume me and catastrophize the worst possible scenario in my life.

While what may seem unfair to us at first can be a good thing if we go through the change that we must go through and see that it is more beneficial than what is currently experienced. It can be easy to pass judgment to things based on past stories and thoughts and experiences, yet if things have changed since that experience, it can be hard to make a judgement unfairly in your eyes.

But you have to allow yourself to see past the unfairness of the situation and actually work with the hand that you have been dealt and allow yourself to see if something goes wrong then act or advocate for the things that may be challenging for you, but if you are quick to think about the things that are unfair and pass judgment about something without understanding the necessary reasons of doing so, it can be hard to understand that everything will be fine If you allow things to work themselves out and work at being your best self in the process putting the unfairness to the side by allowing the experience to be the best that you can make it.
