For several years until last year, I struggled to understand the reality. I needed to do the necessary tasks to stay mentally well. I held a flawed state of mind. I struggled to accept the reality of needing to care for myself. Doing necessary tasks every single day was crucial. I did not realize the challenging situation that I was not only putting myself in but others as well. I couldn’t see that I was scaring people by not caring for myself in ways that I needed to. I also couldn’t see that there were benefits to things that I had once believed that was not helping me.

I had to learn to be patient with myself. I finally understood what was needed to care for my mental well-being. I was delusional, and I thought things were not helping me. This proved the point given to me. Doing those things became more difficult for me. Often, I did not notice the behavior itself. I realized it was too late to take action or to prevent the situation from becoming noticeable to others.

If you neglect your self-care needs, you feel down about yourself. You understand that proper self-care is best and will eventually make you feel better. Sometimes you doubt yourself. You question whether you can do what you need to do. You wonder if you can be alert enough to do what is needed for you to function. Sometimes it takes just having the faith and doing what is needed. If it doesn’t work out, you take action. You do what you need to do to take more care of yourself if you need to.

It can be challenging to regain our momentum. We need to focus on our goals. We must take necessary actions. It’s hard to believe that everything will be fine. However, getting back on track is easier than we might think. Sometimes we doubt ourselves. We wonder if doing what is needed will actually work. We also question if we will pick ourselves up as easily as we think. We must do what is necessary. By taking extra precautions, we will be ready when needed. Then it will be easier for us to do what is needed. We will successfully do what is best for us. In due time, we will feel better.

Often, we doubt ourselves that doing what is right will actually help us. But in the end, we know that it does and that we have to be patient and trust the process. Sometimes, we make excuses for reasons we think are based on the past. We don’t realize that if we set our minds on what is right for us, it will happen. We must take the necessary actions.

In the end, there we know we need to do what we know helps us and our mental health. Even though we doubt ourselves that sometimes, in the end we will feel better. We have to push through our fear. We should do what is best for us because it makes us mentally stable and well.
