Sometimes we are given news that makes feel like we have been hit by a bus.

It can stir up a rollercoaster of emotions that you feel like you can’t handle.

You can have all the supports you have, reach out to them.

Be kind to yourself for the day, set your expectations at the bare minimum.

Maybe get as few things done in order to feel minimally accomplished.

Find that small thing that makes you smile for the day.

Get the mail. Take the trash out. Get outside. Even if it is for a few minutes.

Just do it. You will be glad you did.

Play the music you need to find your own content. Play the songs you want to hear again and again.

Know your support system. Know that those you may expect the least to be there for you outshine themselves. Know that they were there for you all along, you just had to give them the chance.

Sometimes life seems to feel like there will be no positive outcome of what has transpired.

Be patient. Thing don’t happen in a day. The most important thing is to take care of you and get through your day.

Cry if you need to. Cry. Seriously. It doesn’t matter your gender; there is no shame in doing so. In the end, you will feel much better.

You have to let the feelings you are experiencing out in a way that they can be relieved.

Eat what you want. Order Doordash. There is no judgement in needing to be lazy for a day.

But always remember to take care of your mental health. Take your medications as prescribed.

Take as many showers as you want.

Sleep as much as you need to.

Know that tomorrow is never promised, but having the promise of it and what a new day brings on the horizon can give you the hope that you need to press forward.

Love yourself more than everything else.

It will make it easier to let go of what has happened and you will be able to move on.

Be patient. Take your time. Give yourself Grace. Don’t rush to judgement.

Do what you need to do to take care of you.

Know that in the end there’s people that care about you

Life is worth living.

You matter. You are loved. You are enough. You are here for a reason. You are important.

Keep on going. The best things are yet to come. Don’t ever give up.

Tomorrow is a new day.
