Today is Mother’s Day in the USA 🇺🇸.

They say that a picture is sometimes more than what words can say.

I often talk about this picture.

It shows how our connection is.

But for most of my life it was in many ways other than what this picture is.

Even in getting to and from where this picture was taken on that day.

Nearly half a year later I discovered that I needed to start to flip the script of how I acted towards my mother.

Because I know how fortunate I am to have such a supportive, loving and caring mother who loves me unconditionally through the woes of my life.

But is also taking the responsibility and understanding that she too deserves to be treated the same as I would treat anyone else that I would interact with, something that hasn’t happened a lot the last few years.

Today is about making memories and honoring my mother for the hard work that she’s put in to be the mother that she’s been for me in my nearly four decades of living.
