There can be those moments in the life in an autistic person such as myself when you just want to give up whether it is for the day or forever because I am easily frustrated with the woes of life. There can be days when you feel anything and everything and it becomes too much to the point that you don’t think and you just want to retreat from doing things in your routine that need to be done because you can’t see past the anxiety that you are feeling and instead realizing that by doing things that you need to do provides you with the necessary outlet that you need to stay well mentally and physically.

I can get into those moments when I do not realize that it is more beneficial for me to go to work instead of feeling everything too much at one time and instead taking time to breathe and just relax for the time being. There can be those days when it seems that the throws of life can throw anything and everything at you because it is just one of those days where if it can go wrong, it will.

Even as our days can seem frustrating because there seems to be one thing after another that happens in your path and even there are sudden changes that happen that can be overwhelming, it is important that you not weigh into not doing anything too rash and sudden that can further implicate your mental and physical health. It can be easy to say that you need a break, but if you just give yourself  a break in a smaller form instead of just saying that you need a break totally for the day which can allow you to have more time than what you need to overthink and get into behavior that you don’t otherwise need to experience, thus making your mental and physical health worse than what you need to.

As hard as it can be to sometimes take the advice of my parents, because of the history of what we have, sometimes they know us better than what we can conceptualize when we need some insight on ourselves. When there comes the times that we want to take off work or day services because we think that we are overwhelmed, they see that we just need to call it a night and do what is right for us by getting the necessary rest and reevaluating the situation in the morning because they know by us sitting at home can provide us with a more vulnerable opportunity to overthink and ruminate about things that we should do or have done right.

Granted, it can be hard to start the day in the right way and anxiety as it does in me can play a big role in not allowing us to see that everything will be just fine if we allow ourselves to be patient and take the time to prepare for the day ahead that we need to so we are refreshed to conquer the day. I do not want to discount the fact that there are times when everything can be too much, but when you know you know. There are times when it is too much but then there are times when it is just your anxiety acting up and it is felt too much, but it is best to just play along and do what is right for you by following your daily routine and everything will fall into place. You will know what is right for you within time and you will be proud that you made the right decision eventually.
