Best of Saturday Evening Followers!

As some know, I like to follow a routine.

One of those things is checking in with the news. It comes on my preferred station twice on Saturday evenings.

As I was caring for myself today, I was rearranging my bedroom. Time got away from me, and I missed the first newscast.

Eventually, I learned that my phone was vibrating. I fixed it and learned that my dad had called me a rarity.

Being in his situation. I called him, he was doing much better and needed a simple task, which after speaking to him, was relayed to my mother.

We were briefly discussing the death of fitness guru Richard Simmons among other things, and I concluded the call.

As it was time for the later newscast at the top of the next hour, I prepared the TV for watching the news and discovered the incident that happened at a political rally in Pennsylvania this evening.

I just could not. News is many times over sensationalized and too much when it comes to sensitive topics such as this incident. Social media has flared up as a forum hotbed.

So, I took my evening pills and a nap to get a much-needed break away from the media. It is a bit too much for me.

That is why I have been limiting my media viewing to just a little bit each day.

Boundaries are a wonderful thing, but sometimes, they get too much and require us to step back further than normal.

Other than that, my day has offered me the opportunity to get rested in feel accomplished in many other ways.

So that is a blessing. As always, it is the little things.

Take care my followers.
