Today I bring you another edition of #neversaynever

One common struggle among the autistic population is the fact that many of us have a sensitive “gag” reflex to foods that don’t meet the desire of the person. It can take many years to overcome food aversions and struggles

I’m currently in the middle of retooling my food palate in my late thirties out of necessity. I’m trying new ways to eat and prepare food.

Oftentimes there can be a lot of pressure to make someone try something, but there’s going to be times that you’re not going to have other options. There’s the theory of ” don’t knock it until you try it”, amongst others.

There have been times I’ve been in that situation, afraid of the reaction I would receive. I would hide things or throw them away, something that’s not the most polite thing to do.

Then there’s those times you just let your fear down just a smidgen and try something. This is part of adulting and realizing that you can’t control every single thing including what’s in the menu. Not can you always plan for the what ifs in life.

Then you realize that it’s not all that bad and you nearly finish it.

That happened today at the age of 38.

Welcome Vegetable Beef soup to my food repertoire.

Proud Moment Right Here.
