Today I have to go to the County Courthouse to aid in Sensory Assement for the legal autism taskforce. I am honored to provide my persepctive for this.

This is not my first time in the Courthouse or any county building for that manner.

As is with not only many government buildings, but with things like airports, etc. Security procedures are involved.

Personally for me , they cause a small amount of anxiety.

I have only been in an airport pre-9/11 so I have never needed to be exposed to TSA Protocols.

Yet, doing something as simple as going through a metal detector causes a small bit of anxiety.

I do “travel light” when I enter a county building. Only taking what is necessary and it aids get through things with ease.

But today, as I am aiding on the sensory assesment team, I am also looking for any strategies that may aid an autistic person in theirt challenges in this part or any part of having to access the courthouse or any other government building.

Wish me all the best today!
