As a neurodivergent person who lives independently, I struggle with keeping up on the laundry.
The factor of laundry access for all is different. In my first apartment I lived in a high rise with 36 units that had three washers and three dryers for.
Others go outside their house or apartment complex.
In my current apartment I had the opportunity to hook up my own equipment which is better for many reasons.
It, However as is with many places not on the same floor.
Out of sight. Out of mind.
Laundry. Essential and one of the simplest tasks.
It’s not the fact that I don’t know how to do it.
The fact is, because the equipment is not visible, it escapes my mind.
Until no clean clothes are left or something that I need or want to wear is not clean.
I have had ample time to do it but have focused my attention the last few days elsewhere.
However, I have to wear a dress shirt tomorrow and did not have a shirt that I am satisfied with wearing in the outside world.
Therefore, at least doing one load of laundry this week is a goal and a must.
That way, only having to focus a smaller amount of attention to it, will hopefully be easier to accomplish?
Feel free to share any other ideas.
