For those that have window air conditioners, one of the most forgotten or unnoticed things is the fact that the filter needs routinely cleaned.

Its rather simple, just takes water and a paper towel in the kitchen sink. It is important to do it at least monthly, however some models may require it more often, as mine states every other week per the owner’s manual.

It even has a filter light as many do but it was nearly spot on. Regardless, it should aid in keeping it operating at maximum efficency a little bit longer.
