At the beginning of the year, some time passed. Then everyone began to see my old self returning. I was becoming the person I once was years ago. I knew that to stop the cycle of repeating old, pointless, and destructive behaviors, I needed to make better decisions. I had to take it upon myself to develop habits for making better choices. I also needed a purpose in all realms to keep me motivated. This motivation was essential to see that living life in the best way was possible.
After many years of not doing the right thing, I wanted to be patient. I knew I needed to make the needed changes work for the long term. I needed to let go of old destructive habits. Replacing them with things I needed to do would take consistency and practice. Having goals to meet showed me that things were possible. I realized I had the power to do what was needed. This realization gave me the determination to keep my motivation running. I saw the benefits in doing what I needed to do.
Many people had faith in my ability to do what I wanted and needed. They believed I could do it in the right way. They trusted I would not do things that were not right for me. Being mentally stable was essential. Combating the side effects of the medication was a long-standing problem resolved once and for all. I needed the right tools and support on all fronts. I did what was right for me. I worked through difficulties using the tools provided. This approach helped me avoid measures I did not want to take. It also prevented actions that made me more prone to failure. I had to see if I had what it took. I needed to achieve what I set out to do without extra help or tools.
If I wanted to make it happen, I would have to be real about what needed to be done. I had to make the right decision for me. I wanted to feel better about myself all around, not just because someone was telling me to. I wanted to be and see the change I had the power to be. I would stop holding on to old behaviors. These habits were bringing me down. I didn’t want to experience that anymore. I was tired of feeling the way that I was. I saw others be better in ways that I didn’t want to pursue. I preferred to do what I had known was needed to see improvement happen all along.
I did not rush into automatically believing. I needed to see in the long term that it was actually happening. It worked to be what it was supposed to be. I did not allow myself the latitude to get back into old habits without the support I felt I needed. By knowing that there was a potential for me to grow gave the motivation to work for a better life.
