Union Station Weekly: Volume 2: Issue 6: Moving More

As part of my virtual clubhouse attendance we compose a weekly newsletter that is published each Friday, I have decided to include those writings in my Blog

A s it is Wellness Wednesday, I am realizing that since we have had the pandemic, that I like
have been confined to my home and haven’t been able to be as active as I was. This has been a struggle for me because when going out in public, I once struggled with completing a shopping trip because of severe back pain and the inability to walk normally. Gradually, I have been increasing these steps every day because I know if I don’t my health will take a drastic turn for the worst, then I will be able to do the things I enjoy. Although we are still in a pandemic, we must keep our bodies in the best shape as possible in order to stay healthy so we can live long healthy lives. We need to be around for those that care about us and be a positive influence so that others in our networking communities can follow suit.

In hindsight, we must take care of ourselves in order to prevent the need to access emergency services in the event that the pandemic worsens and those facilities become unavailable to those in need. Being active and mindful of what we consume will in turn make us feel better about ourselves in our mind, body, and spirit so that we can be happier and enjoy our lives to the fullest. It may be a walk around the block, the grocery store, whatever, but if we keep repeating such activity, it will pay off in the long run, and we’ll be proud of the end result.
