Over the past few years, I have been on a journey of self-discovery. I have been earnestly trying to balance having what I want with working towards being completely well. It is important to understand the necessity of mental and physical health. Along with other priorities, I want my desires, wants, and needs to be balanced. It has taken time. I needed to find that perfect balance of what works in the way that it needs to.

This battle has been one of the final ones I have faced. I struggled within myself. I did not want to find the right way to go about things. Without a doubt, I am like other humans and have my needs and wants. Sometimes, they do not fall into what people expect. It can be hard for me to find my personal satisfaction. Doing what I want, taking care of my mental health, and finding that balance is what I need to have.

Ultimately, it required accepting that I had to integrate what I wanted into my routine. It became a thing that was simply what I wanted to do. I realized I needed to make time for what I wanted to do. I also understood that it was acceptable to focus on myself. But, this had to be within limits. Caring for my mental health became a priority, which I began to accept for what it had to be.

In the end, working to be comfortable doing the things I wanted to do made the experience more enjoyable. Having the wish and appropriate balance to do it was essential. Educating myself and being patient in the process were key factors. Through this approach, the things I once feared became less daunting. I had earlier believed it was a choice between balancing my mental health and enjoying things. Yet, balancing my mental faculties allowed me to enjoy both without creating an imbalance.

Eventually, I had to understand what was too much compared to what was the right balance. This experience was necessary when it came to doing what was pleasurable for me. There was no personal pressure in doing what I wanted to do. It had to come naturally to me. Realizing whether I was caring for my mental health was a contributing factor in deciding what was possible. I had to be honest about caring for my mental health. Understanding other factors was not necessary to figure out if I cared for my mental health. Instead, it was about finding pleasure in what I enjoyed in my own way. I made it the time it needed to be for me.

It took time to figure out how to work things in a balanced manner that suited me. Still, it was rewarding because eventually all my wants and needs were met. They were met in a way that worked for me. This brought me the joy I had desired for a long time.
