Over the past year, I have dealt with some issues in the outside world. One of them is wanting to deeply invest myself in things where I have no place. These are things that will bring more stress for me. I have realized I need phrases to help me through difficult moments. I must focus on what truly matters instead of getting caught up in the hypothetical circus that surrounds me.

Sometimes I used to feel like I had to be a part of something. I didn’t need to be involved to just belong. It sometimes took understanding that some things and people are just not meant to be for me. There are others I have no need or business involving myself with. I realized that things I was energized about were overtaking my life. These things had no necessity of being an issue. I had to work on finding ways to distract myself from the energy fueling me. I needed to prevent it from getting to me as it did in the past. Back then, it caused me to react negatively, affecting not only me but several others too.

I discovered that I distract myself from things that used to bother me. This realization gave me more power than I originally thought. I was capable of focusing more on myself and my needs. I realized there were many things within myself that made me happy. It was better than trying to be in something or someone’s life that was unwanted or unhealthy. I had to realize that my life was mine. I would allow only those who wanted to be a part of it. I also included those I wanted in, after knowing if they were healthy for me.

I stopped allowing myself to worry about things I did not need to fix. Instead, I focused on things I had the power to control within me. This focus allowed me to improve mentally. I go to places that once brought me unwanted stress. Understanding how to focus on myself and cope enabled this change. I had worked so much on improving myself. The people who supported me and were with me had seen it. Now, I had to put it to action.

Not allowing myself to be entertained by unnecessary things can make me much happier in my personal life. This prevents it from consuming me and allows me to do things that I enjoy and need done. These activities bring me joy, especially when other things are difficult, different, and sometimes more challenging than before. I improve my life by not being consumed by unnecessary things. I use skills to focus on what I need in the moment. This helps me get through the day. Seeing things this way can make my life so much better and enjoyable. Life is what you make it. By not focusing on what I can’t control, life becomes more manageable.
