SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) – (06/19/15) – We now know the name of the 6-year-old boy who drowned in a pond near Krossroads Park in Saginaw County.

According to the Saginaw County Sheriffs Department, he is 6 year-old Jayden Humes, from Saginaw.

Sheriff’s deputies were called around 5:30 Friday evening when the child was reported missing by his parents.

They were at the park with the boy and his 3-yearold sibling when they realized he was gone.

People helping to search for him saw clothing in a pond, just east of the park and sadly, the little boy was pulled from the water.

Deputies and paramedics attempted CPR, but it was too late.

The park will remain closed through Sunday.
