Police believe they’ve found the body of a 9-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly a week in Genesee County.
The body was found Friday at Lake Callis, 60 miles north of Detroit. Davison Township police Chief Rick Freeman says authorities are working to confirm the identity. But he also says the search for Omarion Humphrey has ended.
Omarion disappeared at the park on July 4.
His father, Jamell Humphrey, says he’s thankful for everyone who searched. He says, “I have no words right now.”
Omarion was autistic. The Flint Journal, citing court records, says the boy and his siblings have been in foster care since February.
