It has been another amazing week!
From learning to adapt and understand the effects of “being the victim” when fueled to do so by anxiety, I began to see that it is more important to be the hero of my anxiety by using the coping skills and mechanisms that are in place to remind me and show others life with autism and other co-occurring disorders, while different can also be very manageable. Growth comes also in learning that while we can feel certain ways about things, it is not always up to us to make it our fight or if we feel we should be the way that we think it should be, it is also understandable that things can happen even if we don’t think they are fair or should be. It is also understanding that it is important when looking to move away from overthinking by what was once a focus for me that brought great negativity that it is just as important to shift the narrative to finding better focus on the things that make uplifting and as positive as can be.
