In the past year or so, sometimes it has been difficult to do what it takes to get going. Completing what is needed has been challenging because anxiety plays such a big role. It holds me back. It prevents me from seeing that I am brave. I am capable of doing what I have to do. Being determined and keeping my word help me get things done. This approach goes a long way in tackling hard tasks.
My anxiety has influenced my thoughts many times. It makes me think I can’t do something that I know I can do. Contrary to what my brain tells me, what I have to do is often quite mundane. It’s not as bad as my brain wants me to believe it is going to be. It often takes being determined and pushing through the fear. I need to see that I can indeed do what it takes. If I need a boost or support, I have many who remind me that I can do it.
Determination for me is often pushing through the fear it takes to do what is needed. I need to get on my way to doing what is necessary for me. Sometimes, I don’t see that things are possible. I use the determination I have by recognizing that fear happens all the time. I can push through, be patient, and do what I need to overcome the fear and worry I experience.
Oftentimes, my brain lets me think of the many reasons that something can’t happen. I make excuses for why something can’t happen or why I can’t do something. Yet I know I will be fine once I am on my way or eventually become comfortable. The worry dissipates and is no longer a worry. It takes being determined and doing what it takes to keep calm. I need to see that this is just a part of the disease doing its dirty work. In many cases, I will be just fine.
It takes determination to do what is intended. I must not give in to fear. I should not allow my brain to succumb to the excuses anxiety creates. It often makes me think something is bad for me when it actually is not. I must recognize that the excuse my brain makes is indeed anxiety. By being determined, I can take what is needed. This will help me reach a point where I no longer feel the anxiety.
A lot of what I and many others think the way that I do. Often, it is the anxiety and the fear of something bad happening to us. We fail to accept the reality we must face. We do not realize we’ll be fine if we stay determined. Anxiety often makes us dismiss our capabilities. With determination, we can push through and stay strong.
