It has been seven years since I moved out on my own.

A lot has happened since then.

I’ve had to learn to grow and mature in my own way.

I also discovered who I really was.

And while it was a long detour to get where I am today.

It was definitely a learning experience.

I learned and grown since those rough days of meltdowns and rages.

I became more of the person I wanted to be.

I didn’t let others get to me or influence me to be who I wanted to be.

I learned about myself along the way.

Picked up a few friends along the way.

I’m still not done.

But I am in a better place than where I started.

There is only room for improvement.

But at least I am not the old miserable self that I once was.

I can love myself and love life for what it is.

““Being A ‘Shining Example To My Peers’ means that I am open, transparent and honest with what it takes and the struggles in managing life’s necessities and challenges alongside being hopeful and resilient in my fight to keep going and living the life that is mine.”
